When I first met with Reem and Ferdinand to talk about their engagement shoot ideas, they told me they wanted to go on an adventure somewhere. Would I be up for it? Obviously, the answer was YES!! It’s always so fun shooting somewhere new and exploring this beautiful state.
We settled on Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park for their engagement photos. Reem and Ferdinand had a great time visiting the park before, and we knew the overlook views couldn’t be beat.
From the moment we arrived on-site, I knew it would be one of my all-time favorite sessions. You see, Reem is also a photographer so she is a pro at this kind of stuff. To start, she picked up some tulips on the way, which added a beautiful touch to the session. (Always a great idea)! Their outfit selections for both parts of the day were on point. And they were so easy to hang out with! Wandering around together was the best way to spend my Wednesday afternoon.
Thes session ended at Stoney Man Overlook for some of the prettiest golden hour light I’ve ever seen. It was a dream! I’m already dying to go back. I’m so glad they chose this spot to document this special time in their lives!
Reem and Ferdinand are getting married this fall in Northern Virginia, and I can’t wait for all the celebrations. Congratulations, you two! Enjoy some of the sneak peeks below.
