If you’re seeking breathtaking views, this one might be for you! There are many gorgeous overlooks along Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park. Big Meadows is also a popular choice in the park. Thinking of going on an adventure? Some of the best spots are a short hike away.
The best part? If you’re planning on only having up to 15 participants and a simple ceremony, you don’t need to get a permit. If you have 16 or more, however, or if you’re doing any type of decor set-up, you’ll need to file for a permit here.
Also, all cars entering the park must pay the $30 entrance fee (unless you have the annual pass).

Rust Manor House is nestled in a 68-acre nature sanctuary in Leesburg, Virginia. The historic mansion and gardens provide an elegant mix of nature and architecture. Indoor and outdoor spaces are also available here, making it ideal for those worried about the weather. Inside the mansion you’ll find a parlor, dining room, library and sweeping staircase. Outside, the gardens are always a beautiful ceremony backdrop. The covered porch is also a bonus!

Located just half a block from King Street, Waterfront Park offers gorgeous views of the Potomac River, the Woodrow Wilson Bridge and National Harbor. The expansive green space is also ideal for your ceremony and portraits. To have your wedding here, you’ll simply need to file for a special use permit through the City of Alexandria.

This renowned Georgian Mansion is one of my favorite locations for weddings, engagements and elopements. Their tree-lined entrance sets the scene for gorgeous photos, and the combination of elegant columns and expansive countryside gives you plenty of options.
