Margo and Stu’s Washington, DC, wedding this past weekend was nothing short of incredible. Their first look, portraits and reception took place at The Anderson House – The Society of Cincinnati, one of the most elegant venues in the city. The marble-lined spaces, grand staircase and breathtaking courtyard made every moment even more special!
They also added plenty of beautiful details to the space. I immediately fell in love with the floral arrangements by The Rosy Posy. Just wait until you see the staircase garland! Margo also had custom cookies made to share their story: they met in February 2012 at the College of William and Mary and starting dating six months later. In August 2018, Stu proposed on a romantic sail boat trip in Maine. Now they’re officially married!
Most importantly, I loved working with Margo and Stu throughout the past year. Their cherry blossom engagement photos were some of my favorite yet. Not to mention their genuine love for each other and those around them! It was wonderful getting to know both of their families and their closest friends throughout the day.
One of my favorite moments was Margo and Stu’s grand entrance into the ballroom. After the wedding party made their debut, they surprised everyone at the top of the staircase! With cheers all around them, they made their way down the stairs and into their first dance. As you can imagine, this made for an unforgettable start to the evening. Scroll down to see for yourself!
The rest of the night was just as magical, filled with a New Orleans second line tradition, homemade churros and lots of dancing! Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Bost!! I wish you both the very best on this next adventure together. Enjoy some more sneak peeks. below!
