I have to say – it wasĀ so difficultĀ picking photos to share in this blog post. There are so many favorites from this outdoor family photo shoot. For the past two years, I’ve documented this adorable family. Together we’ve documented: waterfront maternity photos, lifestyle studio newborn photos, in-home baby milestone photos, and now this stunning collection of fall portraits.
They chose Hillbrook Inn in Charles Town, West Virginia, for the location. I had never been there before, but the photos online looked beautiful. We had to reschedule once due to rain, but it was worth the wait!
When I arrived early to location scout, I first noticed the gorgeous fall foliage on the property. It was everything you want for fall photos! We ended up with soft, even light for the evening, which couldn’t have been better.
Andrea wore one of the client closet dresses with a subtle floral print. We planned everyone’s outfits ahead of time, which I always recommend. It’s part of the portrait experience for a reason! I also brought my picnic blanket along. It alway adds a laid-back, natural touch to your photos since your family can spend time simply being together.
