Great Marsh Estate Engagement Photos

Warning: this post has the CUTEST golden retriever I’ve ever seen, an adorable couple and one of my favorite venues of all time.

I just had to get that disclaimer out of the way because I am way too excited to share this engagement session with you!!! First of all, Great Marsh Estate popped up on my radar last fall. Long story short, it was love at first sight. From the breathtaking architecture to the rolling fields and wood-lined paths, I knew I had to visit!

The best part? It’s right here in Virginia, only about an hour away from where I’m at in Alexandria. So immediately it was added to my bucket list. In fact, I love it so much we did our own engagement photos on the property! Between our experience and working with them for Cassie and Billy’s session, I have to say the Great Marsh Estate team is top notch. It was a breeze working with them, and they couldn’t have been nicer (especially with all the rain we’d been having!)

So going into this session, I was already on cloud nine.

Plus, I knew Cassie and Billy were going to be fun to hang out with, so obviously I was excited all spring for the date to get here.  But when they decided to bring along little Tucker, their 8-month-old golden retriever, I knew this would be one of my favorite sessions yet!

I had a blast wandering around the property with them (and so did Tucker). I felt like everywhere we turned, we found another incredible spot to shoot. We also got a sunny golden hour, which completely made my day. Seriously, golden hour + golden retrievers is now my favorite thing ever.

Not to mention, these two are such a genuine, laid-back couple! I’m already counting down the days until I get to see them again (and their wedding is only three weeks away – yay!) Congratulations, you two – enjoy some of my favorite moments!
