Although we had to move the session around and deal with chilly weather, I had so much fun meeting Edmundo and Gaviota earlier this week! As you may have guessed, planning a photo session around the cherry blossoms can be a real challenge. And this year was no exception. Between the freezing temperatures, snow forecasts and changing peak bloom predictions, it took quite a bit of coordinating to make this shoot a reality! But at the end of the day, all of that planning was completely worth it!
This session was extra special because this was the first time Edmundo and Gaviota experienced the cherry blossoms around the Tidal Basin in person. Walking through a forest of beautiful cherry blossom trees is truly magical, and I had so much fun capturing their excitement. And despite the continuing chilly temperatures (I’m talking 30 degrees), these two still look incredible in all the photos!! Gaviota looked stunning in her Rent the Runway dress, and Edmundo looked just as handsome in his tailored suit. Add in beautiful views of the Jefferson Memorial, Washington Monument and Tidal Basin, and you have the recipe for gorgeous photos!
I had a blast getting to know both of them, hearing more about their adventures together and learning about their upcoming wedding plans. They’ll be tying the knot in Puerto Rico later this summer, and I have a feeling it’s going to be warmer that day! Congratulations, Edmundo and Gaviota!! Here are a few of my favorite photos from the morning.
