Brian and Rikki are officially husband and wife! They tied the knot at District Winery in the Yards Park with waterfront views, a rooftop reception and all the celebrations. From their first look in the winery to dancing the night away, it was definitely a wedding to remember.
These college sweethearts met while attending University of Maryland. Brian later proposed to Rikki at the Thomas Jefferson Memorial, so it was the perfect location for their engagement photos last fall. They got the best sunrise that morning, and it was so fun getting to know them better! Working with them over the last year has been beyond wonderful. Their laid-back personalities and strong love for each other were obvious from day one, and it was an honor witnessing the start of their marriage.
Not to mention, Rikki and Brian have incredible style – so I knew their wedding was going to be a treat to photograph. I absolutely adored Rikki’s Hayley Paige gown (perfect for twirling)! Adding flowers to her hair was an elegant touch, and don’t even get me started on their wedding party. I loved the shade of slate blue they chose for the bridesmaid dresses! From start to finish, all their wedding day details were on point. It was a photographer’s dream!
It was also wonderful seeing Rikki and Brian surrounded by so much love. The bride’s sister sang their first dance song while her cousin played guitar, and her sister also played piano and violin during the ceremony. All of the toasts were touching and emphasized how Rikki and Brian complement each other so well. The joy and laughter continued throughout the summer evening as everyone enjoyed the rooftop views, delicious drinks and spending time with the bride and groom.
Congratulations, Rikki & Brian!! I hope you had the best day celebrating day one of your new lives together. Enjoy some of your District Winery wedding photos below!
