Washington DC Family Photographer | One Year Photos
This post is extra special. Baby Juliette completed her one year portrait session, and has officially graduated the Baby Plan Membership!! All that’s left is finalizing her heirloom album. I cannot wait to help this sweet family pick out their favorite photos to include in it! Although I think it will be hard to choose – we’ve had 5 wonderful sessions over the past 18 months. It has truly been a joy getting to know them. Jacquelyn and Reese have welcomed me into their family’s story, and it means the world to me.
We’ve had quite the journey. A winter maternity session in Georgetown; newborn photos at home; six month photos at the studio; holiday photos at a Christmas Tree farm; and now, her one year photos. Her big fur sister Freja joined nearly all of the sessions (with the exception of the studio – I wish dogs are allowed, but my commercial building says no).
Juliette’s newborn session took place in their home, so it was fitting to complete her one year portraits in the same place. Springtime is always beautiful in DC, and we were able to step outside for a handful of photos at the nearby park. My favorite part was how happy Juliette was playing with the flowers. So sweet! She was also starting to take a few steps with assistance, so we photographed those moments too.
It never ceases to amaze me how quickly time goes by with these little ones.
Each session always surprises me – we’re at six months ALREADY? It’s been a year ALREADY? Looking back, seeing your teeny tiny baby grow up into an almost toddler is a beautiful experience. Knowing this family will have so many memories to look back is the best feeling. And they adore film photography – which is my favorite!! 🙂
