As a Northern Virginia maternity photographer, I adore casual maternity sessions at the studio. These sessions allow you to simply relax and embrace this special time as you get ready to welcome baby! My natural light photography studio has everything you need to get maternity photos just like these.
What to Wear for Maternity Photos: Jeans + White Shirt Look
We chose a classic, timeless look for this maternity session: light blue jeans, a button down relaxed shirt, and a lace bralette. This combination is always beautiful! It shows off your baby bump in an adorable way. And it gives us a few different options for how to style your outfit. We can do the shirt buttoned up, half unbuttoned, or just the bralette and jeans! At the studio you can choose a few different outfit looks during our time together. Some clients like to do one relaxed look + one dress or robe look.
Most of the photos below were taken on medium format film – my favorite! When you add this to your session, I take your photos on an old-school film camera with actual rolls of film. After your session, the film rolls get mailed to a film lab to be developed. I also use my digital camera as a back-up. But I edit the digital to match your film so you’ll get one cohesive gallery.
This maternity session also featured my new blue hand-painted canvas! It offers some subtle color to your session without being overwhelming.
