As a Northern Virginia photographer specializing in maternity and newborn photos, I recommend taking maternity photos when you’re between 28-34 weeks along. - Stay warm and cozy inside. You don’t have to worry about the weather, and you definitely don’t have to freeze outside for an hour session.
- Capture the beauty in simplicity. The studio provides a neutral backdrop for your moments. I have a hand-painted canvas by the talented Willow Canvas, along with a futon bed, white walls, and an elegant bench and other simple props like chairs and stools. With maternity, it truly lets your baby bump be the star of the show.
- Pick out a dress (or two or three) from the client closet. Studio sessions are lovely because everything is right there! I hand selected every dress so you know they will photograph beautifully. Many also have a very flexible fit, making them perfect for maternity or during postpartum.
Located in Sterling, Virginia, the studio is available year-round! Sessions take place in the morning through the early afternoon for the best natural light.
