Locust Shade Park Engagement Photos

A few days before their session, Grace sent me a message asking if her and Josh could bring along their pup. And of course, my answer was a resounding YES!! I’m so glad they did, because there’s something so fun about having your furry family member in your engagement photos. Also, I’m a dog person, so it always makes my day when I get to play with a puppy at work! I know I’ve said it before, but I love my job!

So it goes without saying that Ben, their 3-year-old foxhound, completely stole the show.  I mean, when he’s wearing a sign saying “My humans are getting married,” it’s impossible to not look adorable! I also have to give a shoutout to Julie, Grace’s mom, for helping out with Ben in-between photos. It was obvious he was very excited to be in the woods, and she did an amazing job keeping him busy while I captured a few shots of Grace and Josh by themselves.

It’s always my favorite when I find a couple like these two. Not only are they super cute together, but they also have such fun personalities! When a session is filled with this much laughter, you know they know how to have a good time. And I’m sure their sweet sense of humor will carry into their marriage (which is always a good thing). I also love how Grace added cute details to the session! From their customized ring box to the unique “G” sign (since soon she’ll be Mrs. Greene!!), they added a meaningful touch to the day.

I’ll be traveling to Charlottesville this summer to document their wedding, and I’m already counting down the days! I can’t wait to celebrate with them as they become husband and wife!! Enjoy some of my favorite photos from the session.
