Lincoln & Jefferson Memorial Engagement Photos | Virginia Photographer

Last fall I had the pleasure of meeting Emily and Tim for their engagement photos. From their very first phone call, I knew we would hit it off and have a great time together! First, they are dog people and asked if their adorable pup, Katsu, could join. Obviously, the answer was yes! They had also found me through their neighbors, who happen to be some of my favorite clients! (Thanks, Rachel and Grant – always so grateful for you.)

Second, I just loved how excited they were for photos. At the time, they were preparing for a big move to Georgia. With so many memories from DC, they really wanted the engagement session to highlight a few of their favorite spots in the city. Picking out where to go, what outfits they should wear and everything else ended up being extra fun thanks to their enthusiasm!

We stopped at three iconic locations at sunrise – a new record for me. I loved their session so much, I’m breaking it up into two blog posts. The first part is all about their Lincoln Memorial and Thomas Jefferson Memorial engagement photos. As you can already tell from the first photo above, they got all the pretty sunlight! It was so hard to choose photos for the blog post, and we had the same problem when making their engagement album together. It’s a good problem to have, though! There were simply so many sweet moments and epic backdrops we couldn’t pass up.
