The first wedding of 2021 is here! After a heartbreaking reschedule less than a week before their original date, Matt and Chelsea can finally call each other husband and wife. This time last year, we were all set for their big day. Unfortunately, the pandemic hit at the exact time. It was absolutely devastating, but these two handled it all with incredible grace. Their personalities complement each other in such a beautiful way, and after seeing how they persevered, I know their relationship can survive anything.
Although their District Winery wedding was small and intimate due to current restrictions, it was overflowing with love. Their families mean so much to both of them. The ceremony was live-streamed, so everyone could be part of the day. Those who couldn’t be present sent videos and words of love. One of her bridesmaids who couldn’t be there even dressed up and stood next to her TV so she could stand by her side as they exchanged vows. I’m telling you, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house!!
I have known Chelsea and Matt for a couple of years now (you may remember their epic cherry blossom engagement session). Every time we connected, I just knew they were the kind of people I would love to be friends with. Spending time with them on their wedding day proved this in so many ways! Being a witness to their marriage is an honor I will always cherish. And of course, I can’t wait until I get to see them again soon for their album design!
