I can’t believe today is August 1st! The summer is flying by. I thought it would be the perfect time to look back at some Jefferson Memorial family photos taken earlier this season. We got lucky with a beautiful June morning, despite an iffy forecast. Luckily, it worked out perfectly and we had the most beautiful light and mix of cloud cover!
We planned this session to document baby’s first year milestone. As Baby Plan members, this family has been working with me throughout the last year. We started with baby girl’s newborn photos, six month photos, and now one year. Without fail, every family who signs up for this program has loved it! Baby’s first year goes by so quickly. Before you know it, your little one is walking and talking and wanting to explore! Taking the time to document those early days and the milestones in between are priceless.
As always, my Jefferson Memorial portrait sessions take place right at sunrise. Yes, it’s early, especially in the summer. But it’s worth it for golden hour – and to avoid the crowds! It’s the only way to capture this iconic DC location. And you’ll be much more relaxed when we’re all by ourselves, taking in the view. Enjoy a few favorites from this DC family session!
