After a year of staying home, it feels so great to travel again! Last month spent a long weekend in Pawley’s Island, South Carolina and it was just what I needed. Being by the water is always my favorite way to relax! I was there to photograph a destination wedding, and it was beyond gorgeous. If you’ve been following along with the blog, you may have seen their Atalaya Castle wedding photos here!
While I was there, I also had the chance to connect with Molly and Jeff for family photos on the beach! Their son, Noah, completely stole the show with his sweet expressions. We chose Huntington Beach State Park for their family photos, and I couldn’t have asked for a better spot. The quiet beach was the perfect way to connect with nature and capture some precious moments. Molly and Jeff actually got married at Atalaya Castle, which is in Huntington Beach State Park, so it was the perfect way to capture some anniversary photos for them too. It’s always worth it to get a few photos of just mom and dad!
Molly and Jeff are also both talented photographers at Jeff Patterson Photography, so it was an honor to have them in front of my camera! Most of the photos below were taken on medium format film. The nostalgic feeling film produces always keeps me coming back for more. Especially when you’re in such a beautiful location during golden hour! Enjoy a few of my favorite family beach photos below.
