Jessica reached out to me a few weeks ago, and from her first message I knew I would love working together!! You see, this past Monday Jessica and Daniel celebrated their seventh wedding anniversary. And they wanted to document this special milestone with an anniversary shoot!! So of course I was super excited for them!

Here’s the thing. I love anniversary sessions. As much as I love wedding photography, there is something so special about capturing memories during your marriage. Why? Because these seemingly ordinary, everyday moments are the foundation of your life together. They’re the ones that keep you going day in, day out as you face unexpected turns – the joyful and the challenging ones!  So to me, it’s extra sweet to capture those memories!

Jessica and Daniel decided to go with an iconic view: the U.S. Capitol Building. And it may have been a hot and humid day, but you never would guess! They did such an amazing job despite the summer heat!! Next, we stopped by The Wydown on H Street, one of their favorite places to get coffee. And it was perfect (not just because their A/C was on full blast). I was able to capture a few candid moments of the two hanging out, and we couldn’t leave without getting the classic coffee shop window moment.
