Summer Family Photos | Northern Virginia Family Photographer
As summer comes to a close, I wanted to share family photos from earlier this season. These sun-drenched portraits were taken in June at one of my favorite locations in Northern Virginia for family photos. If you scroll through the photos, you’ll see why!
This location is a favorite for several reasons. First, it has a gorgeous manicured garden that’s always filled with blooms and beautiful scenes. The hedges are a favorite spot, and I love seeing what’s in bloom that season. Second, the field is stunning! It’s lovely to have both locations close enough to fit within a session. Finally, it has plenty of room for your kids to run around and well – be kids! These moments often make for the best photos because they are real and authentic to your family.
Yes, we will aim to get a few posed photos because I know you want them for frames and holiday cards. But I also want the photos to feel like your family’s story and less like a staged production set. Which is why I always encourage my families to relax, play, and most importantly – HAVE FUN!
