Meg and Caleb’s intimate wedding took place at River Farm in Alexandria, Virginia, on a beautiful fall day. As a low-key, relaxed couple, they wanted to celebrate this milestone with their closest family members. Having a small, intimate wedding meant they could spend more one-on-one time with their guests. There were so many sweet moments between everyone!
Meg also included a sea turtle charm on her bouquet in honor of her grandfather who recently passed away. Growing up, she would always take a photo back to back with her grandpa to see how tall she had grown. Although he couldn’t be there in person, we captured the spirit of this photo with Meg leaning against one of the trees on the property and taking a quiet moment.
Making time for a few private moments made everything even sweeter – if that’s possible! Meg and Caleb exchanged vows in a quiet corner of the property before the ceremony so they could have a few moments alone. They also brought a record player and had a private first dance with just the two of them. As we wrapped up sunset portraits, we were lucky enough to capture a gorgeous sky with the moon in full sight! It was a magical way to end the day.
Being part of small, intimate weddings like theirs is always such a huge honor. Thank you, Meg and Caleb, for inviting me to document all the moments! Your families are wonderful, and I wish you all the best as you start this new adventure together.
