New York City Adventure | Travel Photos

One of my goals this year is to say yes to travel more often. I think we’ve all experienced those times we say we’ll get around to something, and before we know it we never actually accomplish it. So I’m putting a stop to that, and I’m making travel a priority in my schedule! The memories are always worth it. Plus, I can be extra creative with my photography and share it with you lovely people!

So here it is: my first travel blog post!

A couple weekends ago B and I packed our bags and caught a train to Penn Station. Neither of us had explored NYC before, so we couldn’t resist stopping at many of the classic tourist spots. And I’m happy to report the City That Never Sleeps didn’t disappoint! It also has amazing pizza at all hours of the night, which is always a plus in our book.

The only downside was the fog. There was zero visibility, resulting in zero epic skyline photos from the Top of the Rock. And although I was itching for just one golden hour, it wasn’t in the cards for us. I wasn’t too upset though because it was supposed to rain the ENTIRE trip. Instead, it just decided to be foggy. So I’ll take it!

Here are some of my favorite moments from the weekend:

  • Spending the afternoon in Central Park
  • Window shopping along 5th Avenue
  • Dining at a delicious Italian restaurant in Hell’s Kitchen
  • Drinking at The Viewa revolving bar overlooking Times Square (WORTH IT – Thanks for the suggestion, Jessie!)
  • Eating late-night pizza…every night
  • Sipping hand-squeezed lemonade on the High Line
  • Eating more pizza at Rubirosa Pizza (shoutout to The Day Dreamer Next Door for the recommendation)
  • Falling in love with Wicked all over again
  • Seeing all the lights in Times Square
  • Realizing there is SO much to do there, and we barely scratched the surface during our 3-day stay

Obviously, I completely fell in love with the city, and I’m already ready to go back. Especially since I missed out on golden hour! So if you’re in the NYC area (or know someone), and you’re looking for an anniversary or wedding photographer, send me a note! I am only a short train ride away, and I would be THRILLED to hang out with you!

P.S. I would love to hear some of your favorite NYC stops in the comments! We are planning on going back sometime soon and would love to check out the coolest spots.

Love NY! Agree with all those places you mentioned to visit. Might I add, Tavern on the Green and a visit to The Plaza Hotel 🙂
