New York City Engagement Photos
Traveling and documenting sweet moments is one of my favorite combinations. So when Louis and Kelsea mentioned they wanted to do their session in NYC and their building had rooftop access with views of the Empire State Building, I was beyond excited!!
Our first day in the city was full of sideways rain, dreary skies and freezing weather. So my fingers were crossed for a clear morning the following day. Luckily, the rain went away, and the partly cloudy skies provided the perfect mix of morning glow and soft, even light. And look at that gorgeous NYC skyline view! Not only is it beautiful, but it’s also one of their favorite hang-out spots. Knowing they’ll have moments captured in such a meaningful place made it even sweeter.
The best part? Hanging out with Kelsea and Louis felt like spending time with old friends. After the rooftop photos, we walked around their neighborhood in Tribeca and headed to Battery City Park. We found so many cool stops along the way! But stopping at Gotan, one of their favorite coffee shops, was my favorite part of the morning. The coffee was delicious, and it was wonderful getting to know these two better without a camera between us. Needless to say, I can’t wait to see them again in the spring for their wedding!
Congratulations, Louis & Kelsea!! Thanks again for all the amazing food recommendations in the city – our favorites were Terra Winebar and Levain Bakery!! I’m sure we will make our way back up there to try some more. New York City will always be one of our favorite places! Enjoy some of my favorite moments from the day.
