We wanted to document a few quiet moments with just mama at the studio for this maternity session. Just a short session for mama to breathe and relax. This time can feel so busy. Between work demands, tending to your children (in this case, mama has three other little ones), and preparing for baby, it can be nearly impossible to find a few minutes for yourself.
For this reason, I always encourage mamas to consider a solo maternity session if it’s something that speaks to you. Pamper yourself with hair and makeup, or wearing a gorgeous gown that makes you feel beautiful. Step away from the busyness life brings, and slow down. Designed to be peaceful and calm, the studio is your haven. My hope is that these words will be reflected in your photos.
Both of these maternity gowns can be found in the client closet, a perk included for all of my clients. The white gown adds an extra layer of elegance. The sheer, flowy fabric adds a beautiful sense of movement to your photos. It’s also incredibly soft and comfortable – just what you want during this time. Although it’s sheer, it provides just enough coverage to give you timeless, classic photos to always cherish.
This session is a favorite of mine, especially because one of these photos was selected as a film finalist in the Belle Lumière End of the Year Awards for 2022. Seeing my work (and this beautiful mama) make it to the finals was an honor I’ll never forget. See which photo made it, and view a few more favorites from these maternity photos at the studio.
