Madeline and Jon’s engagement session was the best of both worlds. It included iconic moments at the Lincoln Memorial along with some laid-back, casual ones in Georgetown’s charming neighborhood. I know I’ve said it before, but sunrise in these locations is always a must! There’s something extra magical about the reflecting pool as the sun rises. The residential side is always a bit quieter too.
Madeline and Jon both attended Georgetown University, where they met during undergrad. They stayed friends throughout college and after graduation, realizing they wanted to date later on when Jon was back in DC for work. He proposed during a New Year’s trip to Belgium and France – and it’s just as romantic as it sounds. After leading Madeline to a picturesque bridge in Bruges, Jon asked her to marry him.
Now, they’re planning an elegant spring wedding in the heart of the city. We may have to wait until 2022 to celebrate the big day, but it’s going to be stunning when it gets here! Getting to know these two has been wonderful, and I just know they are going to have a beautiful marriage. Enjoy a few of my favorites from their fall engagement session.
