In-Home Family Photographer | Northern Virginia
If you want relaxed, laid-back family photos, an in-home session might be for you! You’re in your own space, which means everyone is a bit more comfortable. You don’t have to worry about driving, dealing with traffic, and arriving at a location by a certain time. And we often go with a more relaxed look for comfort! This session is the perfect example of what to wear. I love that mom went with a sweater dress that looks beautiful and feels cozy. Sticking with knits and comfortable pants for the boys, while keeping dad in classic jeans and a button down was a great choice. Everyone was comfortable, which means we got lots of fun photos!
When it comes to in-home photos, we always find the spots with the best light. In this case, they had the perfect window nook! We always take a few of everyone looking at the camera, but the rest of the session is spent playing, laughing, and enjoying time together. It’s the best way to get those relaxed, natural photos because you really aren’t worried about posing. Instead, you’re following simple prompts and games to get real smiles – especially from the littles!
