Home. The place where you feel most relaxed. Where so many memories are made as a family. When you think about what home means to you, you may find it’s the perfect place for family photos.

This was the case for the Gerald family. We spent a fun fall morning together in the comfort of their own space. This was great for the kids, and for mom and dad too. Over the years, I’ve noticed families relax more at home. When you’re cuddled on the couch, like you’ve done a million times before, it’s much easier to sink into the moment. Before you know it, you’re laughing and forgetting all about the camera. And at the end of the day, your photos truly reflect your family. The personalities, the love, all of it. Nothing makes my heart happier as a photographer!

It was nearly impossible to choose favorites from this session. I loved all the photos so much. But I finally narrowed it down! Most of these were taken on medium format film, my favorite way to document your moments.
