Heritage Hunt Country Club Wedding Photos

When you combine the perfect fall day, a fun couple and a gorgeous venue, you have everything you need for an incredible wedding! Rachel and David tied the knot this past Saturday at Heritage Hunt Golf and Country Club in Gainesville, Virginia, and it was a beautiful way to celebrate their love.

You might remember part of their story from their Georgetown engagement photos last spring. They braved chilly temperatures for photos that day, but it was all worth it in the end! They also wore traditional African outfits for part of their session to reflect David’s Nigerian culture. Adding in meaningful details like this is always one of my favorites! They also shared with me how David planned a very special proposal at the top of a mountain during their trip to Colorado. He had everything mapped out just right – including the perfect overlook and photographers to capture the moments.

So when it came time for their wedding, I knew it would be just as special! Rachel and David did such a wonderful job planning a day that truly reflected their story. And it was an honor to document it for them! They also have such a supportive group of people around them. Donna, their close friend and planner, worked so hard to make sure everything went smoothly. And both of their families were a joy to work with!

A few highlights from the day:

Rachel did a first touch with David before the ceremony, which means they couldn’t see each other – but they could hold hands and talk for a minute. It ended up being one of the sweetest moments of the day!
She also decided to do a first look with her dad and brother. The father/daughter first look is always one of my favorites, but this one was extra sweet since her brother was part of it as well!
I loved how many of David’s guests wore traditional Nigerian outfits. The intricate details are so beautiful!
Following their reception entrance, Rachel and David invited all of their guests to the dance floor for a group dance. It was so much fun!
Talk about an amazing wedding cake! The detail, the flowers, the layer design – it was all gorgeous. Scroll down to see for yourself!
Guests had a blast at the selfie station, complete with props and a fun backdrop.

It was such an incredible way to start their marriage – congratulations, Rachel & David!! I hope you enjoy your honeymoon to Jamaica!! Here are a few of my favorite moments from the day.
