Fine Art Maternity Photographer

At my natural light studio in Northern Virginia, I offer a curated maternity experience designed to feel effortless, luxurious, and deeply personal. Every detail has been thoughtfully chosen to help you feel seen, celebrated, and stunning.
One of the first things you’ll notice when you step into the studio is the hand-painted fine art canvas backdrop. This soft, textured piece adds a touch of old-world elegance to your portraits. This backdrop photographs beautifully in both digital and film, creating images that feel like fine art heirlooms. I have both a neutral soft light gray, and this dusty blue gray (pictured here) canvases available.
You’ll also have access to the client closet, which includes over 60 pieces. Flowy dresses, romantic lace robes, and soft fabrics all drape beautifully over your growing belly. Whether you’re drawn to something classic and understated or ethereal and feminine, we’ll style your session to reflect your personal vision while keeping everything cohesive and elevated.
Film photography
And for those who want an even more nostalgic, artistic feel, film photography is available to add onto your session. Film photography is when I use old school rolls of film to photograph your session – not video. (You can learn more about film photography here). The creamy tones and soft grain of film lend themselves beautifully to maternity portraits, adding another layer of timelessness to your gallery.
These sessions are designed to focus on connection – between you and your baby, your partner, or even just with yourself. We’ll move slowly and intentionally, creating space for quiet moments, genuine emotion, and all the little in-between gestures that make this season so sacred.
