Central Park Engagement Photos

A year and a half ago, I visited New York City for the first time and completely fell in love. At the time, I dreamed about coming back  and photographing a sunrise engagement session in Central Park. There was just something so special about such a gorgeous park surrounded by the busy city atmosphere. Little did I know, I would be crossing that item off my bucket list quicker than I thought!

To start, I have to give a huge thank you to Hannah and Ryan. Not only are they so sweet for trusting me to capture their photos, they also took time out of their weekend to show us around some of the best spots in the city! They’re both from Australia, but they’ve been living in New York City for the past two years. So it was a real treat getting their recommendations during our trip.

Not to mention, we had a blast hanging out with them!! It’s truly the best when my couples quickly feel like old friends – especially when they are genuinely such awesome, funny, incredible people. B and I had such a great time, and we are already plotting ways to get back to the city to hang out with them again! Sunrise in Central Park

As you may have guessed, getting up for a sunrise session is always a little brutal. But Central Park at such an early hour did not disappoint!! We were lucky enough to have a gorgeous golden hour, and we even found some cherry blossoms (which you know I love). Some of my favorite stops: the Bethesda Terrace, the Mall and Bow Bridge!

Hannah and Ryan looked so stylish for their session, and they even brought along some champagne for a toast on the bridge (such a good idea)! Although we all agreed it could have been a few degrees warmer, it was overall a gorgeous morning. Also, shoutout to B for being a huge help!! Without him, we wouldn’t have been able to carry all of our stuff around the park or have nearly as much fun!

And side note, I had no idea how many pups would be out and about in NYC that early!! Half of the excitement was seeing all of them run around, and we even got to see a whole herd of Great Danes at the mall. Definitely a first for me!

Hannah and Ryan are celebrating eleven years together as a couple, and soon they’ll be celebrating their wedding day in Puerto Vallarta! After having such an amazing weekend with them, I’m even more excited for their wedding day (if that’s possible)!! Congratulations, you two!! And enjoy a few of my favorite moments from the session!
