1st Birthday Photoshoot in a Rose Garden for Baby Girl
I can hardly think of a sweeter way to celebrate turning one than with a simple, natural photoshoot at my favorite here in Arlington, Virginia.
For this session, we kept things easy. No props or over-the-top setups – just a happy baby, her loving parents, and the prettiest backdrop of blooming roses. She crawled, giggled, snuggled, and explored while I photographed all those little moments that tell the story of her at one year old. It feels just like yesterday we were taking her newborn photos. I love seeing how much your little one has grown since then!
That’s what I love most about milestone sessions: they’re not about perfection, they’re about personality. Your baby only turns one once, and these photos freeze the joy and wonder of this stage so you can hold onto it forever.

And if you’re loving this rose garden, note the roses are in peak bloom from late May through June. Sometimes we keep them through early July!! The roses do go through phases, and there’s usually something in bloom through October. I’ll help you plan the perfect session!
