If you’re wondering what to expect during wedding party photos, this post is for you! I have no doubt your wedding party was chosen carefully, and you want to document this special time with these extra special people in your lives. This is why it’s so important to carve out time in your timeline for these photos! Here’s what you can expect.
I’ll capture photos of each side with your respective wedding party members. We’ll also capture a full photo of everyone! If you do a first look, we can get ALL of these photos done before the ceremony. Many couples love this option because it means everyone gets to enjoy cocktail hour, and the photos don’t have to be as rushed! There’s nothing else going on at that time, so everyone is focused on having fun, taking photos and enjoying each other’s company. If you don’t do a first look, I always recommend doing as many separate photos as possible beforehand. Then, after the ceremony, we’ll just need to capture a few full wedding party photos!
Each of your bridesmaids and/or groomsmen were chosen for a reason. So having a photo of you plus each one in your party is so important. I always make sure to capture the bride plus each bridesmaid and the groom plus each groomsmen so you’ll always have those moments.
Sometimes my favorite moments are the ones in between the posed ones, when you’re walking from one location to the next, getting out your bouquets, getting ready together or killing it on the dance floor! Having these real, authentic moments are a great way to capture your friendship.
