Washington DC Monument Engagement Photos

First things first: you can add this engagement session to my list of favorites! Whitney and Drew traveled all the way from New York City to spend sunrise with me at the Thomas Jefferson Memorial. Golden hour was perfect, the weather was beautiful and they looked stunning – can I ask for anything else?? Let me just say, they made my job so easy!

I first spoke with Whitney earlier this year on the phone. Since they live up in New York, we couldn’t meet for coffee – but I didn’t mind at all! I could tell right away their vision for the day aligned perfectly with my photography style. Not to mention, I loved the way she talked about their story! I could hear her happiness and love for Drew on the phone. And when that happens, I’m even more excited to capture the moments!

Obviously, this love was confirmed during their engagement session! These two are so adorable together!! If you don’t believe me, just take a look at some of my favorite photos below. The saying “a picture is worth a thousand words” is fitting for them. There’s just so much love!

Next time I see them, they’ll be tying the knot at their Congressional Country Club wedding in the fall! Trust me, you won’t want to miss those photos!! Enjoy these in the meantime!
