As a wedding photographer, I hear many sweet stories about how my couples met. But this one might take the cake!
Rachel and Brian met in elementary school doing the morning announcements. In 12th grade, they started dating after he asked her to be his girlfriend during a high school football game. Almost nine years later, Brian asked Rachel to be his wife at the same stadium. Of course she said yes, and they celebrated at Chipotle (where they had their first date back in high school) with their families!
Now, they can officially call themselves husband and wife. Although their big wedding day was postponed to next year, they planned a micro wedding to start their marriage on their original date. Since we took their engagement photos along Skyline Drive last fall, they thought it would be meaningful to get married at a new location in the park. After hiking together over the summer, they found the perfect tree in Big Meadows overlooking the mountains.
They planned the ceremony, a mini cake cutting and champagne toast and all the details over the course of a couple months. Sweet moments and unforgettable views filled their special evening with immediate family. Best of all, these two can begin the next adventure as husband and wife. Congratulations, you two!! I can’t wait until the big celebration next year!!
