When Bridget reached out to me about her September wedding, she mentioned how much she loves photos. Right then, I knew we were going to get along!! It always makes me so happy when my couples can’t wait to document all the moments. Especially during something as exciting as your engagement and wedding!
It made me even happier when Bridget and Joe agreed to do a sunrise session! Now, these are done super early, with a start time between 5am-7am depending on the time of year (this one was actually at 6:30 – not too bad!). But, if you choose a location like Old Town Alexandria, Georgetown or DC, it’s always worth it. Since no one is around, it makes it so much easier to get photos that truly reflect your personalities.
Also, when we are shooting on the waterfront, it’s so much easier to get wider shots without people in the background! I am so thankful these two understood how valuable that is and made the effort to get up extra early. As you can tell from my favorites below, it was worth it!
Bridget and Joe actually met one year ago, today. They were so cute the entire session, either making each other laugh or having a sweet moment when I would give them a minute to talk to each other (this is how you get those genuine photos! They were so good at it!) You can easily tell they’re the perfect match for each other, and it was so exciting talking about all their wedding plans! I know September is still a while away, but I can’t wait to document their day!
I wish you both the very best as you plan for your marriage together!
