Last week I got to spend a fun evening with Sarah and Chris in downtown Leesburg! It was an easy choice for their engagement session since it’s close to both their home and where they first met – Meadows Farm. Plus it had the perfect mix of greenery and charming houses, which are always great backdrops for photos!
From wandering through the cute streets to chatting about their wedding plans, it was the perfect way to get to know them a little better. I always include a complimentary engagement session for this very reason! I love forming a connection with my couples because it makes such a huge difference on their wedding day. After they get a feel for my posing guidance and photography style, they’re already pros by the time the big day rolls around. Not to mention, it makes me love my job even more!
Along the way, we also happened to find the prettiest little gardens. Whenever I’m in a historic neighborhood, the houses and gardens are always my favorite because stumbling upon them feels like finding hidden gems. And since Chris knows all the types of flowers and plants due to his line of work, he was able to tell us what everything was. So cool! Note: my favorite flowers that day were the big, round purple ones that looked like pom-poms (also called allium – thanks, Chris)! Of course I had to grab a photo – see them below.
Congratulations, you two!! I’m so excited to see you again in September for your gorgeous vineyard wedding. Enjoy a few of these historic downtown Leesburg engagement photos below!
