Washington, DC Engagement Photographer | Lincoln Memorial

As a Washington, DC engagement photographer, the Lincoln Memorial is an iconic location for photos. To start, you have a wide variety of backgrounds in one spot. The reflecting pool offers picturesque views of the Washington Monument. (Especially as the sun rises behind it!) The steps of the Lincoln are grand, and it goes without saying that the marble columns are always a main feature.

All of my engagement sessions on the National Mall take place at sunrise. Not only is that golden hour light beautiful, but it allows you to make the most of one of the most popular spots in the city. You’re able to get those jaw-dropping photos without all the crowds. (And if we have a few people around, I’m happy to photoshop them out because it’s just a couple of clicks. Later in the day – that’s simply not possible!)

We were fortunate to have a gorgeous spring morning for Alexis and Kris’s engagement session! They are adorable together, and we got some of the prettiest light of the season. We worked together on their outfits, and I love how it all came together.
