I’ve been waiting for Whitney & Drew’s wedding all year! You may recognize the beautiful bride and groom from their Thomas Jefferson Memorial engagement photos earlier this summer. I absolutely loved her bright summer dress! Not to mention they traveled from their home in NYC to get those beautiful monuments in the background. I had so much fun with these two during that session, so I knew I would fall in love with their wedding day as well.
Turns out, I was right! Their day was full of elegance, timeless details and so much love! They chose Congressional Country Club for their September wedding, and they couldn’t have picked a better location. Not to mention, the weather was absolutely perfect! Not too hot, not too cold with a light autumn breeze. Like I said, perfection! And just wait until you see the floral arrangements Whitney and Drew included in their day. Cue all the heart eyes!! These two have incredible taste, and it showed up in every single detail.
The best part of the day? Seeing all of their family members and friends join together for an epic celebration. It was obvious how much these two are loved, and being able to witness all the happiness throughout the day was truly an honor. Plus, I had such a fun time with their wedding party!! They all did an amazing job during the formal photo part of the day, which makes me a happy photographer.
And the reception was definitely one for the books! Favorite moments include the introductions, the hilarious photo booth, lively open dance floor and of course, pizza and protein powder getting delivered to the happy couple during the best man’s toast (scroll down to see their reactions – it was priceless!) Needless to say, the room was filled with laughter the entire night!!
I’m so excited for you two as you start your marriage together. You are absolutely perfect for each other, and I loved capturing all the moments. Thank you so much for asking me to document the day!!
