I know we all can’t wait for spring to get here, so today I’m sharing Alexa and Joe’s engagement session at Brookside Gardens in Maryland. We were all thrilled with how many roses and flowers filled the space, especially since their shoot happened later in September. Everywhere we turned, there was another beautiful backdrop – one of the many reasons I love the gardens there! With so much space, you are always bound to find the perfect spot.
It’s fitting they chose a romantic, outdoor spot for their engagement photos since they got engaged while visiting Boone Hall Plantation (one of the most romantic places in Charleston, South Carolina). Surrounded by the long row of Live Oaks leading to the historic house, Joe got down on one knee and asked Alexa to marry him. Of course, she said yes!
Working with these two has been so much fun! Not only do they get along so well, they actually met while swing dancing. Before they met, they each decided to to enroll in swing dancing at Mobtown Ballroom in Baltimore. It was fate because as they became friends with their lesson group, the two of them hit it off and the rest is history! Now, they’re planning a gorgeous waterfront wedding this spring. I can’t wait to see them again soon for such a special day. Congratulations, you two!
