Lauren and Harbhajan enjoyed a beautiful day for their Airlie wedding in Warrenton, Virginia this past Saturday. Not only did they get gorgeous June weather for their garden ceremony, they also got to celebrate with some very special friends and family. They had guests attending from all over the world! From a sweet ceremony filled with all the happy tears to dancing the night away, it was definitely a wedding for the books.
Meaningful touches can be found throughout the entire day, including the necklace backdrop the groom’s sister, Sierra, handcrafted for the bride. I absolutely loved how it turned out!! (Scroll down to see for yourself). Lauren tied her bouquet with lace from her grandmother’s dress and wore her grandmother’s earrings.
Most importantly, they wanted their guests to have the best time celebrating their marriage – and it’s safe to say they did just that!
Lauren and Harbhajan met through work, and they were friends for a full year before they started dating. He proposed on her birthday at the winery where they had their first date – Quattro Goombas Winery in Aldie. First, Lauren was surprised with a massive bouquet of her favorite flowers (sunflowers, if you were wondering) before Harbhajan got down on one knee to ask the big question. Unbeknownst to her, their families were watching everything unfold from inside the winery. After she said yes, they celebrated with everyone and started planning their beautiful wedding!
You might also remember them from their Great Falls engagement session last year. They got the prettiest light that evening too! Between their engagement and wedding, it was easy to see just how much their relationship is rooted in love and happiness. One look at each other, and they can’t help but smile. They prepared a special first dance and completely killed it, laughing and dancing and smiling the entire time. And their ceremony was one of the sweetest ones I’ve ever witnessed. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the house by the time they got to their vows.
Hearing their parents and friends speak about their relationship only confirmed this. As Lauren’s dad said in his toast, Harbhajan wanted to marry her because she simply makes everything better. If that’s not the best reason I’ve ever heard for marriage, then I don’t know what is. I have no doubt these two will have a beautiful life together, and I wish them all the best as they start on their adventure.
Enjoy some of the sneak peeks below, and wish the couple congratulations in the comments at the bottom!
