Today I’m finally getting to share Chris and Sarah’s wedding celebration! The original plan was to get married in April 2020. As you may have guessed, the pandemic forced them to reschedule just weeks beforehand.
After multiple reschedules, these two finally got the beautiful day they deserved. Although they had to wait to celebrate with everyone, they actually tied the knot back in June 2020 in a very small ceremony. By the time the big celebration arrived, their adorable son, Jackson, was able to join as well!
As you can imagine, waiting for that long to finally celebrate with everyone is no easy task. I have to give it to Sarah and Chris for being so patient throughout the past two years. And I’m so thankful they got a gorgeous, sun-drenched summer day! We couldn’t have asked for better weather. Their celebration took place at Airlie, one of my favorite wedding venues in Northern Virginia. The entire property is always stunning – from the Spanish Steps, to the manicured gardens, and of course capturing golden hour in their beautiful field.
Getting to meet Chris and Sarah’s family and friends was wonderful, especially as I had been working with them for more than three years at this point. (You may remember their Shenandoah National Park engagement photos back in 2019)! Seeing them finally enjoy this special time with everyone was the best part.
Congratulations again, Sarah and Chris! Enjoy a few of my favorite moments below.
