Friday Faves: The Best Things About Fall

best-things-about-fall-wedding-photographer

Happy first official day of fall!! As I’ve mentioned before, as soon as Labor Day ends I’m pretty much in full-fledged fall mode. But that doesn’t mean it isn’t even more exciting when the season is official.

To celebrate, I’m sharing some of my favorite things of the season for this week’s “Friday Faves” blog post!

My Favorite Things About Fall

  • Documenting fall weddings!! This one should be pretty obvious, considering I’m a wedding photographer. But it is so fun to witness weddings with a seasonal touch!
  • Pumpkin flavored everything. I know it’s cliche, but it’s so delicious I don’t even care!
  • Salted caramel everything. So you probably already know I’m obsessed with sea salted caramel, but in the fall it is everywhere!! It is the BEST when Starbucks brings back my favorite drink: the salted caramel mocha.
  • Sweater weather! The cozier the sweater, the better!!
  • Visiting apple orchards. Growing up we always went to County Line Orchard in Indiana, and in Milwaukee I adored Elegant Farmer (both had freshly made apple cider donuts, my favorite!) But I haven’t actually found one here yet!! If you know of the best one around, let me know! Bonus points if they also make apple cider donuts or homemade apple pies.
  • Autumn recipes. I am all about comfort food, and colder weather is the perfect time to enjoy them.
  • Fall candles. Perfect for brisk days!
  • Colorful leaves. This one goes without saying. Not only are they pretty to look at in person, they are the perfect backdrop for fall engagement sessions!! It’s even better when you bring a cozy blanket to the session for a cute picnic.
  • Tall boots. Cute, comfy and stylish.
  • Bourbon apple ciders. Always delicious – and even more so on Halloween!

I’d love to hear about your favorites in the comments below!!!
